前回に話したプロフィール写真の第一枚です。イメージは明るいオタクっぽい感じですね。こちらではオーディションをもらうにはなるべく向こうのイメージに近い写真を提出した方がいいみたいです。今後、こんな役を演じるかどうかわからないけど、とりあえずアメリカにCMにはこんなキャラが多いみたいので、写真を撮ってもらいました。

今月に入ってからは色々忙しかったけど、いまだにライダー終わってから仕事していないですね。まだ東京にいたら、この休みの期間を存分に楽しめたかもしれないけど、やはりこちらでは段々不安になってきました。トホホ．．．まあ、最悪バイトしながら営業でもできますね。東京にいる時もバイトをやるしかない時期がありました。今後の為に頑張るしかないですね！

ところで、仕事ではなかったけど、ライダーの打ち上げでインタービューされました。聞きたい方がいれば、以下のリンクを使ってください。ちなみに「R5 Central」というアメリカの日本特撮ポッドキャストなので、勿論英語しか話しません。聞き取れるでしょうかね？

So seeing as I am starting my career over, I was thinking of going for the whole slightly awkward but kind of cute intellectual type this time. Yeah...

So as promised, here is the first of several new profile pictures I had taken. It's my "happy nerd" look. It would seem that in this town, one of the ways to help the casting directors notice you out of the hundreds of submissions they receive for each role is to give them a picture that is relatively close to what they have in mind. Now I am not really sure how many "happy nerd" jobs I'm going to be getting, but apparently it's like the "in" thing in commercials these days, so I had a picture taken.

So while I have been quite busy this month, I still have yet to get any "real" (in other words, paying) work since I finished with Kamen Rider. Now if I was still in Tokyo, I would be thanking my lucky stars for a month-long break. Out here, though, I am starting to get a bit worried. =P Well, worst case scenario, I guess I'll have to get a part-time job or something until my career starts to pick up. There was a time when I was starting out in Tokyo that I had to do the same thing, so I suppose it's to be expected when starting over.

On a slightly brighter topic, while it wasn't really a job, I did get interviewed at the Kamen Rider wrap party. For those of you that are interested in hearing it, check out episode 51 of R5 Central. 俺は悪党だ！怖がれ！

う〜ん、やはりこっちの方がすっきりしますよね。どうしても黒いスーツとオールバックが一番似合うみたいです。あと、イタリアンマフィア系の役だったらこっちの写真を使いますよね。実際そういう作品がこの前募集中だったけど、残念ながらこの写真がまだ出来上がってませんでした。まあ、今度ですね。

仕事といえば、なんと今週にライダーが終わってからの初仕事があります！(^^)v子供番組での原宿風の若い日本人の吹き替えです。なんかSh15uyaを思い出します．．．若い男性という事でやはり髭を剃らないとダメですね。あ〜、せっかくプロフィール写真が手に入ったのに、髭がないと違う人に見えてしまいます。また撮りに行かないとダメか．．．(T_T)

まあまあ、とりあえず初仕事がもらえたので、大分安心はしました。お金がすごくなくてもコネができて、今後の仕事につながるかもしれません。ハリウッドスタントマンとして頑張ります！（役者はそれからかな？）

I am evil! Fear me!!!

So yeah, I guess this look suits me a bit better. For whatever reason, I think the black suit and slicked back hair just really works for me. Over here, this would of course be my Italian mobster look. There actually was a movie that was looking for random mobster thugs a little while ago, but unfortunately I hadn't received my new head shots yet. At least now I am prepared for the next time something like that turns up.

Speaking of work, this week I will have my first job since the end of Kamen Rider! =) It's for a kids show where I will be doubling for a Harajuku style Japanese teenager. Which kind of brings back memories of Sh15uya... And seeing as I will be doubling a teenager, I am obviously going to have to shave off the beard and mustache. Aaa, just when I finally get my profile shots done, I have to lose the facial hair and look like a different person. Which means that I should probably go and get a couple more shots taken for those times that I don't have facial hair... =P

Still, I finally got my first job, so things are looking up. And while it's not a huge project, it is a chance to make some connections that could lead to more stuff in the future. Hollywood, here I come!!! (Well, stunt-wise anyway. The acting career is still in development...)
